STAMP provides performing arts activities primarily involving children and young people.

We aim to explain how information is used in clear and accessible language and take additional care when processing children’s information.

Where appropriate, information will be collected from or with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

We will not use children’s information for purposes that are incompatible with the reason it was originally collected.

Children also have data protection rights in their own right.

Membership and Class Manager

STAMP uses third-party systems to help manage memberships, classes, attendance, communications and payments.

Information entered into our membership system may include member details, parent or guardian information, emergency contacts, medical information and attendance records.

Access is restricted to authorised people who need the information to perform their role.

Payments

Payments may be processed by external payment providers such as GoCardless, Stripe, TicketSource or other payment providers used by STAMP.

Payment providers process certain information under their own privacy arrangements.

STAMP does not normally receive or store full debit or credit card details when payments are processed by these providers.

Ticketing

When purchasing tickets for STAMP productions, you may be directed to our external box-office provider, such as TicketSource.

Information collected directly by the ticketing provider is also subject to that provider’s privacy notice.

STAMP may receive information necessary to administer the event, manage bookings, provide customer support and communicate important information about the performance.

Our website

When you visit st-amp.co.uk, certain technical information may be processed automatically to operate and protect the website.

This can include:

To limit automated misuse, the service may temporarily compare a one-way protected value derived from the submitting IP address. Feedback is stored in STAMP’s protected website storage and a copy is sent to an authorised administrator through STAMP’s email service.

Website virtual assistant and AI

STAMP may provide a virtual assistant on our website to help answer questions about classes, productions, rehearsals, tickets and other STAMP services.

If you choose to use the virtual assistant:

  • The messages you submit will be processed so that the service can provide a response.
  • Information may be processed using artificial intelligence services provided by third-party technology providers, including OpenAI.
  • Conversations may be logged for security, quality assurance and to help STAMP identify common questions and improve its information and services.
  • You should not provide unnecessary sensitive, medical, financial or other confidential information through the chat.

The virtual assistant is designed to provide information and support. Important safeguarding, medical or emergency matters should be raised directly with an appropriate member of the STAMP team.

We do not use the website assistant to make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.

Photographs and video

STAMP regularly produces performances and other creative activities where photography or video may take place.

We will explain how photographs or recordings may be used and seek appropriate permission where required.

Images may be used for purposes including:

CCTV
